Beyond

Vatersay, Outer Hebrides.

This looks like a warm day, however it was shot on a fairly chilly February afternoon. With the windchill on the beach, temperatures felt like they were around -1! I really liked the boardwalk, with the gorgeous white sands spilling onto the walkway as if it’s trying to hide the way to the beautiful beach beyond. The stunning green/blue water just hinting at what awaits on the other side!

I got low with this composition to really emphasize the sand, and to use the leading lines of the boardwalk. I used a fast shutter speed without filters to retain sharpness in the grasses that were blowing around in the strong wind.
